What I Wore Today - Much Ado About Jumpsuits

Hello there lovelies,

Now, as some of you may remember, I declared my embarrassingly undying love for jumpsuits & rompers earlier this week. In which case, you might remember something about me promising pictures of the polka-dot romper that I may or may not have bought myself this week. Well now I am here to reassure you that not only did I buy said romper, but I also keep my promises.

Outfit Rundown:

Romper: Trade Secret, $16.95
Woollen Tights: Target, $9.95
Boots: Trade Secret, $29.95
Owl Necklace: Trade Secret, $8.95

I've been quite proud of myself actually. You see, The Boyfriend lost his job a while back, so we've been living on an extremely tight budget. This has meant a much smaller (read: non-existent) clothing budget for me, and a whole lotta' remixing. That doesn't really bother me, but once upon a time when we've been in the same situation I have still splurged on clothes that I don't need, even when we can't afford it. This time, the new romper & pair of boots are the product of me working over-time (amongst various bill payments) in the last few weeks. I feel so good about picking a few items I really love, and saving for them. I'm also proud for telling myself "no" when I know that we can't afford something, and sticking to that. Is that financial responsibility I hear knocking on my door? Well, if it is, I am suitably attired.

On a completely different note, this little number illustrates why I love my jumpsuits/rompers. I reckon they're just as cute as dresses, with one key difference - if you bend over to pick something up no-one has to see your va-jay-jay, underwear, or safety pants (depending, obviously on your individual level of modesty). This is big folks! Jumpsuits: the solution to wanting to drink irresponsibly, look cute, and retain some level of dignity? STAY TUNED.

Opinions? Thoughts? Random facts about otters? (I don't know why you'd be coming here with that last one, but hey, I'm game). Other romper-related goodness?

Until next time, xo.
