OK. This one I'm not proud of. Because I'm definitely gonna take T. to Dallas to meet my parents. And I'm definitely gonna do it far too early because I'm gonna be so excited to show them that I've finally met "the one." And she's probably gonna be a little bit weirded out. Like, "Really, guy? We've been dating for what? Three weeks? Are you're already taking me to Texas to meet your parents?" But whatever. I just won't be able to help myself. And I think she'll get over my anxiousness and fall for me anyways. Fingers crossed!
So yea. This is gonna be a Grade A rager. The kid and I go on right after BeatauCue. Stoli open bar from 8-9, reduced prices the rest of the night. Buy your tickets here.
This new Clubfeet single is on some serious seriousness. For one, "Last Words" is fabulous all on its own. Then came the remixes. The RAC tune is on that fun indie dance tip. And it's great. (It is RAC, after all.) Still, I gotta say the remix The C90s whipped up is the one for me. A little more disco. Every bit as fun. Both tracks are great, but this The C90s joint's killing me:
On an entirely different tip. The new Willow Smith track featuring Nicki Minaj. Dear sweet baby Jesus. What in the wide world did we simple humans do to deserve something so fiery, so ticey? I'm so happy, I'm so happy, gracious me.
Guys. Oh my goodness, guys. So I'm sure I'm late to the game here. I'm sure you've all thought of this before. But yo. My world has been forever changed. In the cab home from my gig last night. Friend playing "How Deep Is Your Love" on his fancy little iPhone. And Luke Jenner's all, "Let me hear that song!" And all I can hear is, "Let me see that thong!" And I mean. Yo. I'm not mad.
EDIT:RAC just hit ten thousand Facebook fans, so André Allen Anjos made his Smashing Pumpkins cover available for download. Vocals by his wife. How dreamy. Check it:
OMGigamesh, how I love your tunes. I mean, your remixes? Those alone won my heart quite some time ago. Then you went out and put together a fabulous little EP just for me. God. You're definitely my best friend. "Inspired by a girl the producer had been pursuing for about three years, 'When You’re Dancing' nods to the funky house of Basement Jaxx and swirling, atmospheric buildups of classic acid house." Yeesh, now that's something I can relate to. Or at least the girl part. Y'all can stream the EP sampler below and chirp at the RAC remix in full over at MTV.
Anyways. Tonight. I'm DJing at Sway at Spring and Greenwich. It's a '90s party, and it will be the ultimate awesomeness. No cover, open bar from 10:30-11:30. Peep all the details here.
