Nick Catchdubs + 101 Crew

101 is a monthly Thursday night party at 49 Grove with the 101 Management crew (Scott Melker, NSR, Ian Boyd, and me), Senari, the Prodigy kids, and some special guests. Tonight we've got Nick Catchdubs from Fool's Gold, Mike Famous, and Scott Matelic guesting. Hip-hop happy hour from 7-10, 101 DJs from 10-4, open vodka bar from 10-11, no cover, etc. Most importantly, I'll be playing Choppa's hit single "Choppa Style" back-to-back-to-etc. from 3-4.

Todd Edwards + Kingdom + Flashing Lights

Today is Friday, December 4th, which should mean a good deal to those of you posted up in N.Y.C. Why, you ask? Tonight both Kingdom and Todd Edwards will be guesting at the weekly Flashing Lights party alongside residents Ayres, Catchdubs, and Jubilee. Yea, that's big. The former is quickly rising in the scene (peep the monster of a mix he did for Discobelle) and the latter's a legend. Edwards's remix of "Next of Kin" is still a set staple and one of my favorite songs. But for now, give his new single "Never Far From You" a shot. And if you're so inclined, check out his remix of Kingdom's massive "Mindreader" here.
