So I've been a Kansas basketball fan for like. Forever? Ish? First team I ever supported. My grandma used to give me KU shirts. With Paul Pierce and Raef LaFrentz and the such on them. Then my BFFL Breck went to school at KU. And I was all, "No way! Hooray!" Blah, blah. So last night I go to my first ever Jayhawks basketball game. In Madison Square Garden. And what happens? They get bodied by Kentucky. Like. Not even close. Not even entertaining. Just infuriating. Bah! Life is the ultimate struggle, life is the ultimate struggle, life is the ultimate struggle.

I've got a water bottle made out of aluminum. Or some kind of metal. Or whatever. And I like to fill it with water, put it in the refrigerator, and let it get mega OD cold. And then I sit in bed with my laptop on my lap (whoops) and sip on the coldest water this side of. I dunno. Glacier water? And my cat licks the condensation off of the water bottle. And honest to goodness, do you have any idea how cute he is? ZOMG, ZOMG. My cat is unreasonably cute and adorable and rare and legendary and majestic. Unreal.

Fool's Gold is more or less flawless. Great music, great image, etc. Duck Sauce, blah, blah. Treasure Fingers, blah, blah. Lil B, blah, blah. Kid Cudi, blah, blah. Bag Raiders, blah, blah. Etc.

Let me explain. Those cats? All great. Fabulous, wonderful musicians. Love 'em to death. But today? Today's all about Kingdom. Or rather, yesterday was all about Kingdom (but I was too busy sitting in bed to write up a post). Dude's new single "Take Me" just dropped on F.G. and it's a massive summer banger. Naomi Allen of Electrik Red crushes the vocals, and the tune as a whole is on that serious sexy-time tip. Cop the full release here.

Kingdom + Todd Edwards + Grindin Chart

Kingdom's "Mind Reader" blew us all away some time ago. Like a really, really long time ago. I've been dying for somebody to commission some remixes and release the darn track for what seems like decades now. Unsurprisingly, one of my favorite labels in the game - Fool's Gold, as it were - stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park. Remixes by fellow Grinders Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 as well as one from Panda Toes favorite Todd Edwards make this release well worth the wait. Cop it through Beatport or snatch a beautiful vinyl copy with "Mind Reader" and "You" from our friends at Acephale. Do it. Now.

Todd Edwards + Kingdom + Flashing Lights

Today is Friday, December 4th, which should mean a good deal to those of you posted up in N.Y.C. Why, you ask? Tonight both Kingdom and Todd Edwards will be guesting at the weekly Flashing Lights party alongside residents Ayres, Catchdubs, and Jubilee. Yea, that's big. The former is quickly rising in the scene (peep the monster of a mix he did for Discobelle) and the latter's a legend. Edwards's remix of "Next of Kin" is still a set staple and one of my favorite songs. But for now, give his new single "Never Far From You" a shot.
