DJ Dstar + Brandon Bside + DJ Pumpkin Patch

The dude DJ Dstar has been impressing Team Panda Toes (which is more or less me, sometimes Mr. Josh) for some time now. And because being a stellar DJ simply wasn't enough for dude, he's been on his production grind of late. So he teamed up with Brandon Bside, and the end result was a smooth jam primed for loads of spring and summer play. A free smooth jam, that is.

In other news, my friend DJ Pumpkin Patch (with whom I DJed at SXSW a couple of weeks ago) just released his track "Heartless." The song's plenty smooth as well, but it definitely gets a serious bite during its latter half.

DStar + Redsean + NSR

I've DJed with the dude DStar two times now, and both times I've left incredibly impressed with just about everything he does. Naturally I love his new mix with DJ Heat and Trazz. So many jams, so many dope mixes, etc. Such a party mix.

I've also played with Redsean a few times. As in a zillion times. Dude hooked me up with my first gig in Dallas and has been heaps keen to book me whenever I go back. What's more, he's as good a DJ as he is a person. His latest mix is a chill endeavor; put on headphones, light a cigarette, and relax.

Redsean - I Need a Beach

Last up is a mix from a friend with whom I've never DJed (though I hope that changes soon): NSR. His Gummy Bears & Boat Shoes falls somewhere between DStar's and Sean's mixes - NSR mixes some chill tracks with a few party jams, the end result being a refreshing, invigorating mix.

Ciara + Ludacris + DJ DStar

Aight, so I'm a bit late on this one. I was all about Ciara's video for "Ride" a few months ago, but I'm just now getting around to blogging it. Eh, whatever. Anyways, the video is indescribably sexy. If you aren't already in love with with Ciara, you will be after this. Good moves, good fitteds, good pants, good looks, good everything.

And of course there's DStar's fiery remix of the track. We all know dude can shred on 1200s, but it's a better-kept secret that his production game is top notch as well. So good.

Lady Gaga + DJ DStar

Panda Toes loves Lady Gaga. Not surprising, seeing as how we love more or less every female pop star ever. Panda Toes also loves DJ DStar. Also not surprising, seeing as how we're super down with almost every DJ ever, especially ones that like Gaga as much as we do. Needless to say, it was downright thrilling to hear that the latter had remixed the former's "Bad Romance." End result? Well, Panda Toes loves it. We're so predictable.

P.S. If you look super hard for it, I'm sure you'll be able to find the .mp3. (Hint: you won't have to look too hard at all, actually.)

P.P.S. DStar's gonna be playing at Dartmouth in a wee bit. Get ready.
