OK guys. Let's talk some more about me. So I'm DJing the Pants Dance party in the Gallery of LPR (158 Bleecker Street) tonight. With the kid Pants Dance. DJ Reaganomics. DJ Nita. And DJ Tim Dolla. Um. Awesome. It's free. Skip the line by telling the folks there that you're there for the Pants Dance party. Good. Great. See you there.
I'm DJing a party in the basement of LPR with the Pants Dance crew on Friday night. Umma be rocking with Softwar, Flora Yin-Wong, and Greenie. So I'm not trying to brag or anything, but yea. This is gonna be pretty LVLz. Anywho, I was perusing the Pants Dance blog last night when I ran across Fare Soldi's remix of Nu Shooz's "I Can't Wait." Um, yea. Banger and a half. Catch me dropping this every night forever and always.
Speaking of Australia. Beni. New single with Mattie Safer available to stream. New album coming out on Modular in October. And "It's a Bubble" and all of it's remixes still killing the game. Beni's doing it so right, no?
Alright. So I've been DJing with the Pants Dance crew once a month since. December? I think? Regardless, each and every party has been a great time. Everyone plays fun, interesting, energizing dance music. Then I play a bunch of Kylie and Katy Perry and Madonna because, well, that's what I do. Happens.
Anyhow, the party's moving on to a new venue tonight. Used to go in on Bedlam, tonight we give it a whirl in The Gallery at Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker). And we're joined by superstar producer gent Jim-E Stack. Should be radical. Say "Pants Dance" at the door for free entry and to skip the line. Details here and here.
So tomorrow night umma be kicking off the long weekend in grand fashion with the Pants Dance crew at Bedlam (40 Ave. C). That means Jason Pants + Artie K, UWS, DADT, and I will be playing all sorts of internet music from 10-4. Except for the 1.5ish hours when special guest Them Jeans takes the wheel(s).
In case you don't know Them Jeans, here's a wee bit of background information: he runs with the Dim Mak crew, produces like a champion (peep his work here), and is way super tall. He's also DJed everything ever worth DJing. For example, you know that super famous party The Do-Over? Been there, crushed that. Catch his set from that afternoon below:
Four posts deep and I'm already back to shameless self-promotion! Let's go! No cover, 2-for-1 well drinks from 10:30-11:30, and all that jazz! Bleh. Click here if you fancy a peek at the event page.
