What I Wore: The Completely Forgot To Wear Green Edition

Hello there lovelies!

First things first, Happy St. Patricks day! Obviously, me being the worldy & knowledgeable soul that I am, had no idea that it was St. Patricks day until I started seeing all the green outfits popping up in my Google Reader. I am so smart, S-M-R-T! Oh well. I'm pretty sure I don't have anything overly green anyway, and I've been planning this outfit in my head since I ordered this beanie from Modcloth, so I wasn't going to pass up wearing it. My Dearest Dad commented that I was looking very yellow today, so I was fairly chuffed.

I am wearing: an op-shopped Crossroads dress ($2), Modcloth Sun Stand-in Hat ($24.99), tights from a random stall ($5), shoes ($16.95) & necklace ($4.95) from Trade Secret, and a belt that appeared when I was packing to move to Clermont. I literally have no idea where it was bought, or even if I actually bought it. I think it may have originally been op-shopped by The Boyfriend for making chainmaille, but I found it whilst packing & claimed it for my own.
I bought this owlie back when I was working for Trade Secret. I saw it in another shop a week earlier, and fell head over heels in love. The only problem was the $24.95 price tag! I couldn't justify paying that much for a piece of costume jewelry, so I walked out a little sadder that I didn't own a glasses-wearing owl necklace. A week later, the same necklaces appeared in Trade Secret for $4.95. Needless to say, that owl came home with me the very same day.

Random close-up shot of the mystery belt! On a similar, and yet, unsimilar note I think I am officially the most colourfully dressed person in all of Clermont. People pretty much stop what they are doing and openly stare when I walk down the main street dressed in an ensemble like this. The Boyfriend thinks that Clermont isn't equipped to deal with the likes of me. I think it's hilarious.

I also think it's amazing that I've embraced colourful dressing in such a short amount of time! When I set myself the Colour Challenge last year, it was so hard at first not wearing black. Then it was like the ideas just snowballed, and got bigger & bigger, and more colourful. It's been a nice change. I hope you're all having colourful weekends!

Until next time, xo.
