Morgan Page + Odmark + HOHME
Yesterday was the coldest day of the winter in NYC, right? Right. So can someone please explain to me why I chose yesterday of all days to go to the Central Park Zoo? Because I lack even the most basic decision-making skills. Because I'm from Texas and still don't quite understand that winter is, like, the worst thing in the history of ever. Because I'm obsessed with cats and beyond excited to see some big ones prowlin' and roarin' and nappin' (in captivity, sadly). Etc. Etc.
But wait. Yea. No big cats at the Central Park Zoo. So I guess the real question is this: Why is the Central Park Zoo the most SB, half-hearted excuse for a zoo in the friggin' galaxy? GTFO with your polar bears and sea lions and birds. Elephants and giraffes and lions and tigers and hippos or bust.
So HOHME emailed me a new track. Called me "buddy" in the email. So that made me really insecure for seven or ten seconds or so. Why you gotta be so patronizing, HOHME? Anyways. The song. It's big and sexy and this and that and the other and whatever. I guess this would be considered progressive house? Or vocal house? How am I supposed to categorize this tune? I'm piss poor with genres. Which may or may not have something to do with why I have crates called "Big, Sexy House" and "Brostep or Dubstep or Something Dubby or Whatever" in my Serato. Regardless, this song's going in the Big, Sexy House crate.
