Best of the Interwebz

Hello there lovelies,

Yet another weekend of 2012 has snuck up on me already! I was lucky enough to end up with a four day weekend due to Australia Day & my RDO coinciding remarkably well. As the rest of my family went away for the weekend, The Boyfriend & I have been home alone for the first time in months. Mostly, this has meant we have eaten crappy food, played our music loud & sat on our computers sending each other links to amusing things. We also went fishing this morning, and I caught a fish! If you're lucky I'll show you a picture of it tomorrow. But for now, you're stuck with some cool shiz I found on the internets this week.

This Birthday Party Crown Tutorial is for the kid (or rAdult) in all of us.

Loved these Tips for Sewing Leather - complete with a beginner project for you to try! Also check out Tips for Sewing Stretch Fabric, & Tips for Sewing Sweater Knit.

It might nearly be February, but I'm still all over Setting Goals: Doing What You Love in 2012.

I absolutely adored this article on dealing with an introvert if you're an extrovert, and vice versa.

These gorgeous photographs make me want to jump on a plane to Switzerland.

Elissa's honest musings about nudity, shame & celebrity really resonated with me. How do you feel about your naked body?

Totally bookmarking this tutorial for sewing your own mittens, and this Floral Boots DIY for the Winter months.

This post got me thinking about my shopping habits & how I want to change them in 2011.

I'm going to have a go of making some resin charms after seeing this tutorial.

I'm also going to have to have a crack at making this glitter ring.

This DIY Scarf Print Blouse tutorial is so freakin' cool. Talk about an awesome use for unused scarves.

How Not To Care What Other People Think Of You. Just, wow. I'm proud to count Tavi as one of my role models - she may be younger than me, but she's got such a handle on life!

I cried a little when I read My Rapist Friended Me on Facebook (and All I Got Was This Lousy Article), and then again reading Why I Talk About Rape.

Absolutely adoring these photos of an actual clothes horse. As in, a horse made from clothes.

The Marilyn Meme is a great article about those skinny-bashing pictures of Marilyn Monroe that are doing the rounds on Facebook.

I loooooove this idea of using soft chalk to colour your hair crazily in a non-permanent way. I don't know how it would work on dark hair though?

This Lace Heart Cardigan DIY is absolutely to die for. So adorable.

If anyone wants to send me a Valentines Day card, any of these owl-themed beauties will suffice.

These images of famous photographers posing with their most iconic photographs sent chills down my spine.

I've kind of avoided the whole "Shit Girls Say" meme, but these two cracked me up!

Enjoy!

Until next time, xo.
