Best of the Interwebz

Hello there lovelies,

I think I may have accidentally overstated thing in my last post, when I said I was feeling much better. At the time I was, but then I decided to go back to work. Things all go downhill from there. Work has been such a struggle to get through this week, and I have spent my evenings basically catatonic on my couch. I have also developed a cough that sounds suspiciously like a barking dog. I think I'm finally on the real road to mending this weekend, but we will see how I go. In the meantime, here's some rocking stuff to read/look at:

This prom dress is so freakin' rad. Especially the part where this young lady designed it herself, and it was made by her Mum.

How To Make Glitter Shoes
is another DIY tutorial showcasing why I need to get myself some Mod Podge.

Matchbook Gardens. Far too cute for my descriptions to do them justice.

When Your Abuser Gets Married
is an incredibly powerful piece of work. I admire this woman so much for telling her story.

Strawberry Freckleface
is the rather awesome style blog. New style crush ahoy! Check out these gorgeous shorts!

My other new style crush for the week is Desiree, of Pull Your Socks Up - a woman with an awe-inspiring collection of tights.

DIY: Owl Themed Wedding. Enough said. Go look at the pictures.

Oh gosh, these embroidered portraits by Daniel Kornrumpf are freakin' amazing!

Why Women Are (At Times) Their Own Worst Enemy is a very well-written rant about women creating divides amongst ourselves with silly labels.

I just adore these pictures of Gus the Gnome doing Rome. Random inanimate objects having adventures? Totally up my alley.

Sexy is a state of mind. So 'effing true - what makes you guys feel sexy?

I watched Shrek for the first time in a few years last night. I'd forgotten how much I love the cheesy karaoke thing at the end.

I hope you're all well lovelies! Oh, and I want to say hi to all the new faces around here - I'll be back with my usual during-the-working-week craziness soon, I promise! I just have to kick this virus in the ass, and then it's right back to being a weirdo on the internet, just for you guys.

Until next time, xo.
