Godzilla In The News 04/19/10 - Obama Worried Jolly Green Giant/Godzilla Conflict Could Destabilize Region

Okay, from the headline above I'm sure that you have come to the conclusion that today's Godzilla news feed is not to be taken seriously.

Since it is Monday, and you are probably a little bit down about having to going back to work, I thought it would be nice to inject some humour into this, oh so serious blog.

Thankfully, Frog-rotta (not the writer's real name....at least, I don't think so?) over at "The Spoof" was able to provide just what I was looking for.

Now, before I get into this, I want to chastise a select few of you, and you know who you are. In doing some prep work for this piece, I could not find one "Godzilla vs The Jolly Green Giant" pic. Not one!

Come on people! I can't believe that no one could photoshop a "G vs Jolly Green" photo? I found pictures of Godzilla fighting girls in bikinis, Godzilla fighting Obama, Godzilla fighting peoples' pets, Godzilla vs football players, Hockey players, you name it. Yet, not one versus the big green corporate mascot of the Green Giant food company.

What, did it never occur to any of you? Were you afraid of the wrath of "Little Green Sprout"?

I am disappointed.

Oh well, enough of this banter, it's time to get to the article.

Jolly Green Giant battles Godzilla in the Sea of Japan

The Sea of Japan: Disoriented from the gigantic volcanic ash cloud spreading over Europe the Jolly Green Giant some how got lost and wound up in the Sea of Japan accidentally stepping on the dwelling place of the fabled Japanese Dragon monster Godzilla.

The rumblings must of infuriated the the giant lizard because the two are now face to face in what seems to be some sort of mixed martial arts battle to the death.

Tsunamis are being reported as far away as Hawaii and cooked spinach as far away as Mongolia. The United Nation security council is demanding Japan put a stop to the battle Immediately.Japan has refused to comply.

Germany is Accusing Japan of showing favoritism towards Godzilla and is now sending an envoy to the region which includes fighter jets to make sure there is no fowl play from the Japanese.
