Godzilla 2012 Facebook Group Update: Continued Success!

Written By: Ken Hulsey

Just a quick update: On Wednesday I reported that the "Godzilla 2012 - Legendary Pictures/Warner Bros (Fan Group)" on Facebook had taken off like a rocket, much to my surprise, and delight.

Today I want to announce that the group has ballooned up from 138 members yesterday to 237 today. That's almost 100 new members in 24 hours.

As I mentioned before, the wall posts have been coming at a rapid pace from numerous members, who either have questions about the film, or want to voice their opinions on what should be in it.

There are honestly so many of these that I couldn't list them all here, though I wish I could.

Oh, what the heck, here are few:

James Baack - We need to see Godzilla in the snow. Have him trash a city during the winter months.

Evan Brehany - Emerich seems butt sore. Too bad for him... http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FElectric44&h=2e0da251804803899394a0a21dcdf5cf To quote, "Now I have to hear all over again how our version sucked. Arrg."

Brad Cherry - Would you feel differently about the Devlin/Emmerich Godzilla remake if Toho Studios did some creative editing and rereleased it as "Zilla" in keeping with "GMK's" pronouncement that the monster had been misidentified by America?

Matthew Webster - Forget the rubber suit, do it in CGI! I want Godzilla to look as realistic as possible in this movie.

There, I just grabbed four right off the top!

Along with these posts comes the Discussion Board posts, which have also doubled. Here are the new topics:

Godzillas Roar
Should Legendary/Warner Bros Option Out Any Other Monsters?
Creature Effects
What City Should Godzilla Attack?
3D or not 3D, that is the question!
Who's writing the Film Score?

Okay, this ended up being more than a quick post!

Thanks again for all the support, I hope that I have created something that all Godzilla fans can use and enjoy. I also hope that the folks over at Legendary Pictures / Warner Bros find this information useful as they begin planning "Godzilla 2012".
