What I Wore Today - Who Likes Short Shorts?

Hello there lovelies,

Apart from being more than a little disturbed by how much I resemble the 15-year-olds that I work with in this first picture, I'm actually having a really good day. Weekends are my most positive times at the moment, and even if I don't do much, I enjoy feeling positive as much as I can. In between spending most of my time watching House, and getting reacquainted with my treadmill, The Boyfriend and I have come to quite a few decisions about our future over the last few days. I'm going to be a little cryptic, and not say much about that yet, but I won't keep you in the dark forever.

Outfit Rundown:

Jumper: Trade Secret, $12.95

Shorts: Trade Secret, $29.95

Tights: Kmart, $10

Sneakers: Target, $11.88

Obligatory ridiculous pose in which I show off my rad new sneakers. The Boyfriends' Mum & I went shopping the other day, and happened across some really good sales at Target. I restrained myself, and only bought these sneakers, and a striped knit dress, which set me back $7.88. I've got to give a shout out, and say that this shorts ensemble was heavily inspired by Bella Q, of the Citizen Rosebud. She has been rocking short shorts like an absolute BOSS lately, if you haven't noticed.

I'm trying to repair my relationship with shorts, with Summer on the way and all. A few people once told me, back in my high school days that "fat girls didn't wear shorts," referencing me as said fat girl. I don't know why, but that comment sort of stuck with me, and I've been very self-conscious about wearing shorts ever since. But, after seeing all the awesome bloggers of different shapes & sizes out there rocking shorts, those people don't seem like such a big deal. If anyone out there doesn't want me in shorts that's their beef, not mine. I like shorts, so I do wear shorts, end of story.

Gotta love some outtake photos! Beginning with the "oh, is that something on my shoe?" shot.

Next is the "I really fail at taking jumping photos," shot. You're welcome. Also, jumping photos are hard ya'll!

Until next time, xo.
