Hello there lovelies,
Once again, I am not dead. I made it to Clermont safe & sound, and I'm now enjoying copious amounts of relaxation and my Mum's cooking. Did I tell you when I said we were moving to Clermont that I had never been here before? Well, now that I have, I'm incredibly glad that we made such a spontaneous decision. I love the town, and the surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous. I'm actually quite upset that I have to go back to Brisbane to organise the house. I am considering getting someone down there to tape a "free stuff inside" sign to the front of our rental house, and just staying here.
Outfit Rundown:
Cardi: Jay Jays, a million years ago
Dress: Op-shopped in Wollongong, $6
Tights: Some random stall, $5
Boots: Op-shopped in Brisbane, $10
I think that the fabulous Sarah, Helga & Vix would be proud of me today! I've been feeling rather left out with all their Frock Up on Friday fun going on, as my workplace has an incredibly boring uniform (white button-up shirt, black dress pants, black closed in shoes, ugh). So, logically, I thought this week I have a whole week off work (and internet access), and a whole shitload of new op-shopped dress from Wollongong, so why not wear frocks for a whole week? This is dangerous territory for me lovelies.
Little bit of backstory - yellow and brown are two colours that I often avoid wearing. Yellow, because I have been told that I look terminally ill when I wear it, and brown because everyone has always said you shouldn't wear brown with black, and I always wear black. I acquired some yellow stockings back when I dressed up as Mrs Pacman, and couldn't go past these brown boots at my favourite op-shop a few weeks ago. As soon as I saw this dress in an op-shop down in Wollongong, I knew it was destined to bring these random items together. Looking at these photos, I am a little disappointed that today was a little cool - this dress looks heaps better without a cardi covering up half the bodice. Oh well, these are the mistakes that us frockingly-challenged people make.
This is how excited I am to show you the rest of the dresses I picked up at the op-shops last week. You've got to admit, I'm looking pretty ecstatic. Probably because I saw real wild-life today - as in actual animals in the wild. This is a novelty for us city folk I tells' ya! Also, yellow tights just make you feel good. Yes, you can quote me on that.
Until next time, xo.
