Bit Funk + Bird Peterson
Half a year or so ago. My old friend Mikey Rodge hits me up all, "Blah, blah, yo, you know any NYC kids that would wanna DJ one my SXSW parties?" And I'm all, "Blah, blah, yea, lemme ask around." So I hit up the dude Free Magic and he's all, "Blah, blah, absolutely, this is a go. But blah, blah, blah, would you be keen on having my boy Bit Funk spin as well?" And Mikey and I were all, "Blah, blah, hell yes, let's do the gosh darned thing!"
Anyways. I've been a big fan of Bit Funk's work ever since. I mean I was most certainly a fan before. But now? Now things have quite simply spiraled out of control. Fan boy status. Etc. And the gent just released yet another quality track. And this time? This time it's available as a free download. Things could certainly be worse. Oh. And did I even mention that the song's a total banger? All foxy and funky and fun and etc. Played it last Saturday. Played it Wednesday. Played it Thursday. And again at my second Thursday gig. So necessary. Go to Bit Funk's SoundCloud page to download the track for free through MediaFire.

On an entirely different note. Bird Peterson. I opened for the dude up at Dartmouth a couple of years ago. And honestly? He's kind of legendary. Not that I didn't expect it. I mean his production? So ticey. That Ocelot remix? Those Wu-Tang remixes? All of the old B-More remixes? God, yes please. But yo, I didn't realize just how hard dude went in on his sets until I saw him DJ for the first time that night. Um, yea. Anywho, peep Drankenstein 2 below. It's kind of LVLz.
