What I Wore Today - The Color Challenge

Hello there lovelies,

Long time, so see! How's the wife & kids? I finished up at my retail job this week, and The Boyfriend flew down for a visit this weekend just gone, so I've had pretty much zero focus for blogging. Or anything else. But now that I'd don't have much at all to occupy myself (except packing), I've decided to set myself a style challenge for the week.

I, Stacey Cash, hereby challenge myself to wearing colors other than black, for an entire week. Black has always been my fall-back color. In my late teens, I went through a prolonged Goth phase where I refused to wear colors other than black. Even once I didn't mind so much, I'd completely convinced myself that I didn't like colors other than black, and that color didn't suit me. The thing is though, I love colors! Lots of them, often bright and all at the same time. I sorted through my wardrobe last night, and discovered I actually own more colorful clothes than I thought. So this week, I am aiming to wear outfits with an absolute minimal amount of black.

Outfit Rundown:

Beanie: Trade Secret, $12.95
T-shirt: Trade Secret, $5, embellished by me
Jeans: Jay Jays, $16
Belt: Gift from Mummy Dearest
Docs: Shoe City, $200
Necklace: Trade Secret, $8.95

I also thought it was time I showed off my domestic sluttery. Under my coffee table (which is really small entertainment unit) lives paperwork, my CDs, and a vintage slide projector. On the coffee table is (currently) living my laptop, point & shoot camera, TV remotes, and a half-eaten cheese & bacon roll, which was fully eaten moments after this photo. The couch blankets are covering a mountain of clothes that I have to sort through. The rest of the room is strewn with paperwork, cardboard boxes, bass guitars, shoes, and random household thingies. My natural habitat. What's yours like?

Until next time, xo.
