Best of the Interwebz

Hello lovelies,

It is Sunday morning, and the doomsday hour is almost upon me. Which, in far less dramatic terms means I am flying back to Brisbane tomorrow night to start my eight weeks of preparing all our junk to be moved up here, and start my eight weeks away from The Boyfriend. Luckily My Favourite Canadian is going to keep me company as often as she can. And, of course, the second season of Glee is out on DVD in early October, so I can at least use that to lull myself into a show-choir-related-stupor. I may turn into a hermit, but at least I will have your blogs to keep me company. Here's some awesome stuff I read this week:

This tutorial for water marbled nail polish kicks an insane amount of ass.

Can, Not Can't. A reminder that the things we can't do shouldn't hold us back from doing what we can.

I'm Happy & My Friends Can't Stand It! is another great advice piece.

I am incredibly in love with this colourful outfit.

Mariachi Owls. Because who wouldn't want these guys wandering around in their town? And if they aren't your bag, how about a paper art Owl Totem Pole?

Women Fighters in Reasonable Armour. Anyone who has ever watched an action flick/superhero movie/fantasy epic with me will understand why I like this.

I really enjoyed this piece on Rock Groupies and Feminism. I can't say that I'd ever thought of groupies in the context of feminism at all, so this really got me thinking.

A little reminder that Everyone Is Doing The Best They Can.

So, You Accidentally Shaved Your Head? 10 Tips for Coping had me giggling the whole way through, and is actually very sound advice.

If you've ever wondered how to make Anne of Green Gables' Raspberry Cordial, wonder no more! And get on over to yes and yes to suggest more book recipes to make.

Totally Money is a great site, full of great bloggers writing about all matters money-related. I popped on over to take a look after A Thrifty Mrs blogged about scoring a gig there.

Plus, we all know this place wouldn't be complete without something funny involving cats.

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Until next time, xo.
