Welcome To Clermont, Part 2

Hello there lovelies,

I know that I've been gone for quite a while, but this move has turned out to be more difficult than I imagined. I suppose that's how it goes though, isn't it? When you imagine something everything goes perfectly, and things are all peaches & cream. The actual moving took about ten times longer than we expected, and everything that could go wrong did. I've started a new job, which I love, with quite a few people that I really don't get along with. I'm also having a bit of trouble adapting to the small town dynamic. It blows my mind that I run into people that I work with everywhere that I go, and everyone knows everyone else. All things considered though, I am doing much better mentally than I was in Brisbane and The Boyfriend & I are in a much better financial situation than we have been in for a long time. As for everything else, well, we'll have to see how things go.

Here's a few random snapshots from around town:

The Post Office is adorable.

Clock tower in the middle of the main street.

This mural is on the wall of a petrol station in town.

I haven't been to the Paris yet, but apparently they have good pizza.

I sat in this park to talk to My Favourite Canadian on the phone.

The newsagent & a few of the other little shops on the main street.

I hope you've all been well (and fabulous!) in my absence. I have a huge backlog of blogs to work through in my blog reader. Oh, you might have noticed that the look of my blog has changed a little bit - along with the name. I didn't feel like The Secret Life of a Retail Assistant was really suited anymore, since I no longer work in retail and never intend to do so again. I'll also be doing a little tidying up of the post tags & pages & things in the next few weeks. Or months. We'll see how I go.

Until next time, xo.
