Hello there lovelies,
Five days ago, I turned twenty-three. Surprisingly, I don't feel old. I did when I turned 20, I did again when I turned 21, and I felt ancient when I turned 22. I felt like I should have everything all figured out by then - relationships, education, career, the house, the 2.5 kids, the white picket fence, and the dog. I felt like I was a disappointment for not having it all already. Now, I realise I'm still really freakin' young. I don't need to have it all figured out, and I don't even know if I want "it all" anyway. What is "it all", come to that? I think it's beautiful that after twenty-three years of living, I'm still learning about myself and what it is that I want from life. So, happy birthday to me (and to you too).

Here's a few little things that people were kind enough to give me:
Mum found this cool lanyard for me in Townsville.
My Mum starts me on the way to my owl-themed kitchen - these are measuring spoons.
These adorable guys also came from my adorable Mum. She's an owl-nabler (Geddit? Oh, I crack myself up).
Technically, not a birthday present, but I'll call it one.
I was so happy when this beautiful guy came in the mail from some lady friends! I think my friends & family realised how much I was suffering being away from my owl collection, haha.
Until next time, xo.
P.S. Here's a sneak preview of the things I made on the weekend in a fit of sewing madness.
