Hello there lovelies,

Well, another weekend rolls around. I have no particular plans, other than lolling around in a romper, reading some magazines & fashion photography books, and most probably playing some Skyrim on the 360. I'm a nord with a bitchin' warhammer, for all of you out there who play. Oh, and getting my blog fix of course! Here's some cool things I came across this week:

This messy bun tutorial makes me really, really miss my super long hair. (While you're there, check out this tutorial for DIY suede elbow patches).

The before & after pictures of this tribal print mini-dress reconstruction are amazing. Also loving this DIY collar made from the same orignal dress.

First Dance is an incredibly well-written essay about one girl's experiences with wanting to be pretty, realising that movies aren't all they're cracked up to be, and her first dance.

I am really digging the classic styling of Girl With Curves this week. So elegant!
Here's a cute tutorial for making a studded clay pendant. You could do so much with this.

This series of photographs of a closet visit with Cathy Cooper are pretty fabulous.

She Who Tries, Wins is a really great post about how the things you want don't just happen on their own.

I am in love with these incredible animals sculptures, made from water-soaked wood chips. Of course, the owl is my favourite.

I want to grow up to be Debra & Maryann - these are some damn fabulous dames!

Oh gosh. Feminist Ryan Gosling is possibly the best tumblr I have ever seen. I know I say that a lot, but come on, what's not to love.
