What I Wore Today

Hello there lovelies,

It has been yet another quiet, rainy weekend in the fantastical world of Brisneyland (Or, you know, good old Brisbane). Op-shopped, sewed, watched Glee, ate Pringles, went for a 16km bike ride. I was meant to be visiting my family, but the flooding in Queensland meant I wasn't able to get there. Boo. Oh well, at least I was able to score Star Wars material, and leopard-print shorts from the Op-shops, amongst other goodies.

Saturday Outfit:

Singlet: Trade Secret (Just Add Sugar), $16.95
Pants: Trade Secret (Otto Mode), $10
Necklace: Made by me, from old anchor print t-shirt.
Dr Martens: Shoe City, $200

It was too rainy to take "outside" pictures, but at least I remembered to throw a blanket over the couch so that you can see I have legs. Baby steps! This singlet is something that had been worn once, and then languished in my wardrobe. I think part of my resolution to spend less on clothes this year includes wearing the things I already have more, so that's what I'm doing. The more I keep doing it, the more I realise that I really don't need more clothes than I have.

Sunday Outfit:

Dress: Trade Secret (Envious), $10
Tights: Kmart, $10
Watch: Cotton On, $14.95
Bracelet: Made by The Boyfriend
Dr Martens: Shoe City, $200

This little bow-backed floral number is something else that has been hiding in my wardrobe for quite a while now. The silly thing is that I have contemplated buying so many other floral dresses because I thought I didn't have any. In reality, my wardrobe was just so big that I forgot I did have this one. I love it! Comfiest dress ever.

Bonus photo! Here is Saturday's op-shopping haul - Star Wars curtain, Star Wars "Jedi" pillowcase, Batman kids T-shirt, Binder full of knitting patterns, techniques & instructions, lace doilies, Fairy print quilt cover, leopard print shorts, Nautical tee, mound of bright orange/yellow plaid fabric and two patterns = approx $40. Not too bad for Brisbane op-shops, that's for sure. How was your weekend?

Until next time, xo.
