The Knocks + Solidisco

So The Knocks are one of the few groups whose originals I enjoy more than their remixes. Most cats I'm all, "Ayo, ill remix!" And then I hear an original track and it's like, "Nah dogs, not working. I still have love for you. But like. This isn't working." But then there's B-Roc and J-Patt. Remixes? On point. Originals? Even more so. "Make It Better" was my jam. "Dancing with the DJ" was killer. "Sunshine" has been getting serious plays. And the new joint "Brightside"? Probably their biggest tune yet.

Also. Solidisco is DJ Dstar and Biacco. I dunno who Biacco is, but I'm sure he's a splendid young man. Dstar, on the other hand, I know. And this is one of the hardest working gents in the game. Production grind. Mixtape grind. Turntablism grind. This dude is literally never not grinding. And it's paying off. "Oughta Be" is a heater. Buy it now.

(Somewhat related: I have no idea how to type his name. Is it "Dstar"? "DStar"? "D.Star"? Wild confused over here.)
