Justice + Uffie

God, I miss Justice so much. The first time I heard their "Never Be Alone" remix? The first time I heard "D.A.N.C.E."? The first time I heard ? All religious experiences. ("Civilization" wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but still.) But now Audio, Video, Disco is so, so close. And the title track - "Audio, Video, Disco," duh - is here. Sexy and sleek, yet tough. And the video ain't have bad either.

And once again. This track right here. What version of "Tthhee Ppaarrttyy" is this and where can I find it? I've been searching tirelessly for this tune for years on years on years.

Morrissey + Uffie

I went through a major Morrissey phase during my junior year of high school. Or senior year. Or something. Can't quite remember, and it's really not important. Anywho, "The Last of the Famous International Playboys" was one of my favorite songs of dude's. But then I started listening exclusively to Dutch house, and I completely forgot about the song. Thank goodness The Notorious Party Boy Soundtrack popped into my life and reminded me just what a banger this song is.

'

And speaking of old songs. Uffie's "The Party." Or Justice's "The Party." Or whatever this version is called. And to whomever it belongs. Four years later and I still have no idea where I can cop a quality version of this track. I mean, this thing popped up on YouTube back when I was still harboring the most massive Uffie crush this side of Feadz and André. But seriously. Still need. Where you at?

Uffie + Mirwais + Pharrell

Let's make one thing clear - I'm very much a fan of both Ke$ha and Uffie. As in I'm 100% not a part of the camp that hates on Ke$ha for being some sort of Uffie ripoff - I've got enough love for the both of 'em.

And let's be real - I'm super excited about the upcoming release of the latter's Sex, Dreams, and Denim Jeans. I've seen Uffie perform on three different continents and have been eagerly awaiting the release of my lady's debut L.P. for quite some time now. The recently leaked track "ADD SUV" has me more excited than ever before. Mirwais handles the production, Pharrell spits a few lines, and the track as a whole bangs. Here's to hoping the whole album makes me as giddy as this here track.

Thanks to our friends at Disco Dust for a non-radio rip version of the song.

Breakbot

The Panda Toes vets among you certainly remember how much I used to talk about Ed Banger Records. I'd blab about Uffie for days, chit about Feadz for a minute, and chat about Justice the rest of the time. Oh how times have changed.

However, that's not to say that the label's gone downhill. Lady Uff is about to drop the long-awaited full-length and Justice is still important enough for people to make fake Justice tracks. Still, I've gotta go with Breakbot as my Ed Banger-er of choice. I've spent a grip of my past week or so listening to "Baby I'm Yours" alongside Tensnake and Todd Edwards while playing Fifa, and boy does it ever put me in the lightest of moods. Get giddy:

Uffie + Zombie Disco Squad

I've been waiting a ridiculously long time for an Uffie full-length to drop. My obsession started with "Pop the Glock" and intensified when Oizo dropped an unreleased version of "The Party" in one of his sets. I became a full-fledged fan boy (or perhaps a stalker) when I saw her live in London and Sydney. Then I didn't hear from or about young miss Uffie for quite some time.

Yet somehow my obsession never died. Despite my remarkably short attention span, I never stopped hoping for the promised full-length. And lo and behold, it appears as though patience does in fact pay off. The album? Dropping this spring. "Pop the Glock"? Re-released with some fabulous remixes. And a new single - "MCs Can Kiss" - is being released on February 15th. The Zombie Disco Squad remix is incredible. The dub? Even better. Peep the former below:

And here's the version of "The Party" that I'm still 100% in love with. Never had the good fortune of coming across a quality copy of this, so lemme know if you boys and girls know where I can buy it. The version is lovely and all, but I've been needing this one in particular for a long, long time.

Ke$ha + Grindin Chart

Ah, Ke$ha. I told y'all a couple of months ago just how crucial her "Tik Tok" may or may not be for certain DJs. Unsurprisingly, the cut's tiptoed onto the Billboard Hot 100. And what do you do with mainstream hits? Make a long overdue video, of course. Now y'all can see just how much she looks like T. Swift in addition to sounding like my girl Uffie.

In other news, the October Grindin chart is up for your viewing pleasure. And though I forgot to vote this month (soil), this is one of my favorite Grindin charts to date. Both the "Heads Will Roll" remix and "King of Africa" are top tracks for me in darn near every situation. So versatile.

1. Florence + the Machine - "You Got the Love (The XX Remix)"
2. Gucci Vump - "Sha Shtil (L-Vis 1990 V.I.P. Remix)"
3. Joy Orbison - "J. Doe"
4. Drop the Lime - "Set me Free (Lil Silva Remix)"
5. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Heads Will Roll (A-Trak Remix)"
6. Darkstar - "Aidy's Girl Is a Computer (Kyle Hall Oats B So Good Mix)"
7. Douster - "King Of Africa"
8. DJ Mujava - "Please Mugwanti"
9. L-Vis 1990 - "Compass (Christian Martin Remix)"
10. Edu K - "Avec Le Bon Bons (Worthy Remix)"
11. Moderat "Seamonkey (Untold Remix)"
12. Cold Pumas - "Jela"
13. Oni Ayhun - "OAROO3 B"
14. Slagsmalsklubben - "Brutal Weapons"
15. Mosca - "Square One"

Guetta Contest + Uffie

One. Last. Contest. (Unless you publicity cats hook me up with some more goodies, in which case I'll gladly continue my selfless giving.) This time around we'll be offering y'all the opportunity to win a copy of David Guetta's new release One Love; we've got the album on both a C.D. and a U.S.B. card. If you're keen to snag either of the above prizes, email me (PandaToes@gmail.com) a link to your favorite D.J. mix of 2009 (only legal downloads, please - I'm not trying to steal mixes that were recorded for a proper release). This will in theory help me get through studying for midterms; a selfish selection process to counter my selfless giving.

Here's where I'd love to post up the "Sexy Chick" video, but it's not quite ready yet. Instead, feast your eyes on the latest output from perhaps my first crush in the blog game: Uffie. "Pop the Glock" may or may not have been one of my favorite songs three years ago, so I was unimaginably excited to see that an official video was finally dropping. Some of the graphics seem a wee bit overboard to me, but overall it's a heaps enjoyable three and a half minutes. I'd like to believe this means Uffie's first full-length will see the light of day soon, but I won't get my hopes up. (I remember getting a MySpace message from her many moons ago telling me that the L.P. would be out around Christmas '07 or '08 - I can't remember which - so I'm gonna play it safe and avoid another heartbreaking holiday season.) Still, fingers crossed.

Like the previous three contests, this one ends in one week.

Ke$ha + Uffie

And this is where y'all lose what little respect you for some reason or another still have for me. But this has to happen. I honest to goodness wish it didn't, but it does. 'Cause when you school in New Hampshire and consequently end up DJing at fraternity parties and sorority formals two or three times a week, sometimes you've gotta play a little Ke$ha. And as much as I'd like to tell y'all that I hate it, y'all know I'm 100% down with the snippets that sound like Uffie. (Guess that's another credibility killer, but so it goes. Don't ever try to make me renounce my love for Lady Uff.) So in conclusion, this track kills it. Try playing this to a bunch of girls in their late teens and early 20s. Huge. Glad to get that off my chest. Thanks for understanding.

P.S. New Uffie material. I need it. Like really, really need it. I remember getting a MySpace message from her in mid-2008 telling me that an album was gonna drop by that Christmas. Sadly, no. Please Uffie, hook it up!

EDIT: Download the track for free here.
