Yo I mean, I'm not really all too into dubstep. Not. My. Bag. But I love pop music. And then I heard "Katy on a Mission," and I was all, "Hell yea, poppy dubstep! Good lookin' out, world!" But then that disaster of a Britney single happened, and I fell out of love with poppy dubstep almost as quickly as I'd fallen in love with it. And thenSabi's "Wild Heart" came along. And is it even remotely surprising that the cut's a banger? She's been featured on something like ten trillion commercially successful tracks in the past month alone. Oh, and it was produced by Dr. Luke. Duh.
Jesse Gregory James (born April 19, 1969) is an Americantelevision personality and CEO of West Coast Choppers, a manufacturer of custom-made motorcycles. James was the host of the reality TV series Jesse James is a Dead Man on Spike TV, and of the reality series Monster Garage, on the Discovery Channel, and the focus of the documentary Motorcycle Mania, also on Discovery. James also appeared in the Tony Hawk's Underground 2 video game. Career Custom motorcycles and cars: After several years working as a bodyguard for Danzig and occasionally for other heavy metal bands such as Slayer and Soundgarden,[2] James opened West Coast Choppers in his mother's garage in 1992. The company grew quickly and soon moved to a larger facility for select customers and companies. About 200 bikes have been built at West Coast Choppers. West Coast Choppers is also sponsoring race teams in Top Fuel Drags and Super Late Model NASCAR. James recently bought custom car business Austin Speed Shop and has expanded into the custom car business. James has also built and is racing an off-road Trophy Truck and a Figure-8 race car.
Other business ventures: He is the owner of the Cisco Burger restaurant, which opened on April 28, 2006, just down the street from West Coast Choppers. The 1950s style hamburger stand — named after his beloved pit bull who is now deceased — features Angus beef burgers, low-fat burritos, organic vegetables, and biodegradable wrappings. James also has partial ownership in the South Austin Speed Shop in Austin, Texas. Other business ventures include the Chopperdogs fan club and the Jesse's Girl clothing line. Since 2006, James has nationally published Garage magazine. Personal life Family, relationships, and infidelity: James' Discovery Channel website states that his great-great-grandfather was the famous outlaw's cousin.[9] However, Eric James, president of the James Preservation Trust, which tracks claims of being a relative of the outlaw, says it cannot find a record of him in the family tree, and has asked him to provide a family genealogy and DNA sample for the Trust to review; he has not accepted the offer.[10][11][12] James has three children—a daughter and a son with his first wife, Karla, and a daughter with his second wife, adult film star/producer Janine Lindemulder.[13] On July 16, 2005, James married actressSandra Bullock, whom he met when she arranged for her 10-year-old godson, a fan, to tour the set of Monster Garage.[14] In October 2009, James' ex-wife Lindemulder, who had been in federal prison for six months for tax evasion, sought to regain custody of her then five-year-old daughter with James, Sunny, after James had been granted sole guardianship of her. James sought to retain full guardianship, citing fear of the environment in which his daughter would be placed if returned to Lindemulder.[15][16] In December, James won custody, and Lindemulder was given weekly visitation rights during the daytime.[17] In March 2010, a media scandal arose when several women claimed to have had affairs with James during his marriage to Bullock.[18][19][20] Bullock cancelled European promotional appearances for The Blind Side citing "unforeseen personal reasons".[21][22] On March 18, 2010, James responded to the rumors of infidelity by issuing a public apology to Bullock.[23] James declared that "There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me", and asked that his wife and children one day "find it in their hearts to forgive me" for their current "pain and embarrassment".[23] James’ publicist subsequently announced on March 30, 2010 that James had checked into a rehab facility "to deal with personal issues" and "save his marriage" to Bullock.[24] However, on April 28, 2010, it was reported that Bullock had filed for divorce[25] on April 23 in Austin.[26] Bullock also stated that she had proceeded with plans to adopt a baby boy born in New Orleans.[27] Bullock and James had begun an initial adoption process four years earlier. The child began living with them in January 2010, but they chose to keep the news private until after the Oscars in March 2010. However, given the couple's separation and then divorce, Bullock continued the adoption of the baby as a single parent.[27] The divorce was finalized on June 28, 2010, with "conflict of personalities" cited as the reason.[28] On August 19, 2010, tattoo artist Kat Von D confirmed media reports that she and James were dating, tweeting "I think it's pretty obvious that we're dating."[29] On January 20, 2011 James announced his engagement to Von D, stating "You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs", and declared that "Growing old with her is going to be a fuckin' blast!".[30] They split in July, 2011
OK. So my favorite person in the galaxy (ex-Panda Star Breck Elizabeth) went to school in Kansas. And one day she was all, "Ayo Greg, I'm friends with this dude that's, like, a way spectacular DJ." And I'm all, "Yea, sure, whatever. Idiot." And then she's all, "Nah, for reals." And I'm all, "Whatever, idiot." Anyways, fast-forward a few months. I'm in Kansas. My gig gets cancelled. The kid Norrit pops in out of nowhere and is all, "Yo guy, you can DJ at my weekly with me." Fast-forward a few hours. Some frat star is screaming at me until I agree to play Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip and a biker girl is screaming at Norrit for playing playing the wrong Black Eyed Peas song. Then I played "Bangduck," he played "Bangkok," and everyone got drunk.
Pointless story, right? Right. Anywho. Norrit and I have since become buddies. And as is the case with most of my friendships, I am far and away the less talented individual in the relationship. Me? I can't be bothered to put on pants all day. Norrit? He's busy releasing his new EP on Palms Out Sounds. It's awesome. Wanna listen to it? The whole thing's streaming on his SoundCloud page. Wanna hear my favorite jam of the bunch? Bam:
I have spoken about my incredible love (interchangeable with the phrase "unhealthy obsession") for Glee. So then, imagine how throughly excited I was to find out that my cheesy sing-a-long favourite on the work play list of music was actually from Glee! I know, I know, I'm way behind the eight ball on this one.
If you're lucky enough to wander into my place of work in a quiet period when this song plays, you may see something like this (only with more singing, more clumsy movement and the fake-microphone-hand):
This is totally normal, right? Everyone does this at work, right? Nope, only me? Oh well then. I guess you need to be incredibly awesome to embarrass yourself at work by getting caught bopping along to Glee tunes. Incredibly awesome.
Aight. Lemme start by saying that finding out that Soulja Boy did not in fact purchase a fifty-five million dollar private jet with four bars and a private bathroom was a massive letdown. I mean. Like. I guess in retrospect I was a complete and utter dolt to believe that story in the first place. But. I mean. Like. It's Soulja Boy, you know? Dude's my hero, and I'm fully confident that he's capable of quite literally anything and everything. Again, hero status.
Anyway, dude has a new track out. Called "Swag Daddy." And it's great. (Duh.) Beat's heavy, screaming's scream-tastic. Soulja's flow reminds me of the way a sobbing kid tells his or her parents about why he or she is crying. Rambling on and on and out of control, pausing ever so slightly to take deep, gasping breaths. Plus Rick Ross-esque ad libs. God, I'm so obsessed with Soulja Boy.
